Kids' accounts

To open a Kid’s account, you need to provide an identification document for your child and proof of custody documents during registration.

Why is proof required?

To verify the identity of the child
To verify custody of the child
To verify residential address of the child (only needed if the child is 16 years and older)

	Full name and date of birth of the legal guardian(s) and the child are visible
	Issue date and issuing authority name (and stamp) need to be visible
	Documents need to be provided in their original form in either German, English, Italian, Spanish, French or Dutch. Other languages as well as translated documents cannot be accepted.
	Black and white copies of documents cannot be accepted.

Sole custody through proof of custody	Birth certificate or extract from the birth registry Court order of custody or negative certificate (negative certificate not older than 6 months)
Sole custody due to death of the partner	Birth certificate or extract from the birth registry Death certificate of second legal guardian
Adoptive sole custody	Birth certificate or extract from the birth registry Certificate of adoption
Custodial parent (Vormund)	A custodial parent (Vormund) can currently not open a Kid’s account

	If the child is 16 or older, you need to provide a valid ID document in addition to the documents listed above. The registered address on the ID document needs to match with the information provided during the onboarding and the address of the legal guardian who is opening the account. The ID document must be valid for another 60 days.
