Your Scalable account, now with an Italian IBAN

Scalable Capital now has an Italian branch. Here's what changes and what you need to do.

What is the Italian IBAN activation, and does it apply to you?

Activation moves your account to the Italian branch: you get an Italian IBAN and choose how the taxes on your investments are handled.

You opened your account before 01.09.2026

Your IBAN starts with IT. You are already on the Italian branch and already chose your tax regime. Activation does not apply to you.

You opened your account from 01.09.2026

Your IBAN starts with DE: your account is still with the German entity, on Regime Dichiarativo. Over the coming weeks you will receive an email to move to the Italian branch. Nothing to do until then.

We will soon launch new features and services which, for clients resident in Italy, will only be available on the Italian branch.

How the Italian IBAN activation works

For accounts opened before 01.09.2026

1. Open the activation from our email or from the banner in your app.

2. Complete the form. Confirm your details, answer a few questions required by Italian regulation, choose your tax regime, and accept the terms of the Italian branch.

3. Keep using your account. Nothing is paused after you give consent. Over the coming weeks we move accounts to the Italian branch, in groups, without selling your positions.

4. We’ll email you when it’s done. Your Italian IBAN is active and your tax regime applies from that day. Savings plans are updated automatically.
